[2017.01.09] Anti-graft Law

Talk about the new anti-graft law in Korea.

A new anti-graft law came into effect last year. It's commonly referred to as the Kim Young-ran law. It was named after the person who came up with it. The main purpose of the law is to ban bribery. It applies to people in various jobs. Public servants, school teachers and journalists cannot receive gifts or receive special requests. Plus, there is a price cap on buying food for others. Supporters of the law believe that it will root out corruption. All in all, I hope it will do its job well.
